Doing my PhD at IIM Mumbai was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. The journey was challenging as well as incredibly rewarding. I had the chance to work with brilliant minds, both faculty and peers, who constantly pushed me to think deeper and question assumptions. I was especially lucky to have amazing PhD guides - Prof. Seema Unnikrishnan and Prof. Vidyadhar Gedam, who were not only experts in their fields but also incredibly supportive mentors. Their guidance, patience, and belief in my work made all the difference, and I’ll always be grateful for the way they helped shaped my research and thinking.
What stood out most was the balance between academic rigor and practical relevance. My research in sustainability and life cycle assessment wasn’t just theoretical, it was grounded in solving real-world problems, which shaped how I approach my work today at Sonoco.
Beyond academics, IIM Mumbai gave me a strong sense of community and purpose. The support, the late-night discussions, the shared wins and struggles, they all played a huge role in shaping who I am today. I’m truly grateful for the experience and proud to be part of the IIM Mumbai family.
